AMU PreMed study program

AMU PreMed is a two-semester program offered by Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań to foreign students who want to improve their knowledge and skills in natural sciences before they start their medical studies. The program prepares for the entrance exam at Poznań University of Medical Sciences (PUMS), a sister institution in Poznań, as well as other medical programs in Poland.

Apart from classes and taught in biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics the program provides labs and an opportunity to get basic skills in Polish as well as to improve the use of medical/science English terminology.

The AMU PreMed program, the total of 900 hours, is split between two semesters, and it covers lectures, practical classes and laboratories. Coursework is evaluated on the basis of continuous assessment and end-of-term exams.

education requirements

Applicants must be at least high school graduates. Candidates will be selected by the Admission Committee on the basis of their scores from High School Diploma in biology, physics and chemistry or relevant subjects and level of English language skills (confirmed by a supplied certificate).
